4. Information We Collect

Data collected upon installation of the mobile Application

• Automatically created internal device identifier
• IP address and approximate location derived from IP address.
• Time zone
• Information about your mobile device; operating system, language, screen width and height

Data collected during the use of the service

• Learning data; answer times, mistakes made, earned points
• Which content is downloaded/updated: wordsets, words, audiofiles etc.
• Messages and other content you submit when using service, such as chat messages, friend requests, feedback, bug reports etc.
• Data provided by user in connection to surveys, questionaires or queries
• Purchase events
• Number of lesson tickets received, earned or spent
• Audiofiles generated by the user doing speaking exercises (not enabled by default, user can opt in)
• Payment service providers will collect your payment details in connection with puchases, payment service is provided by Google play or Apple store.

5. How We Use Your Information

The personal information we collect is used to provide and improve our service, and to ensure the best possible user experience. Below is an outline of how and why we may use your information:

• 1. Providing Service: Device information is used to provide service, ie. for downloading learning content and updates.
• 2. Communication: We may user your contact information to send you important updates and/or notifications. Unregistered users do not need to provide an email address, but they may receive messages throught the user interface.
• 3. Account management: We may use the collected information for customer support in case of technical or other inquiries.
• 4. Syncronization between devices: Information collected from registered users is stored on our servers and shared with other devices on which the user is logged in, so that the user can continue learning on another device from a state reached on another device.
• 5. Improvement and research: We may use your usage data to develop better learning experience for our service. Audiofiles provided by user will be used to develop and test our speech recognition functionality.
• 6. Compliance and Leagal Obligations: We may use your data to comply with applicaple legal requirements, resolve disputes, enforce our terms of service, and protect the rights, property, and safety of your application, users and third parties.
• 7. Personalization: Approximate location and time zone are used for personalized content, for example vocabulary related to the country of location. IP-address or approximate location may be used to recommend other users for you to connect/follow or other users to connect/follow you.
• 8. Social Sharing: Profile picture and player nickname may be visible to other users in the service, in places like leaderboards and friend lists. Your email address or other personal identifiers are never visible to other users.

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information. We may share information with following entities:

• Payment service providers, e.g. Apple App Store, Google Play Store
• Legal authorities if required by Law

7. Data Security

We use encryption technologies, such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL) or Transport Layer Security (TLS), to protect the transmission of all data, including payment information and login credentials. Access to pesonal data is restricted to authorized personnel only. Personal data is stored in secured environments.

Deleting information

The User can delete all their personal information at any time. Account can be removed throught the App or deletion can be requested by email at support@wordino.com

Note that information on purchase events may be stored longer, for legal obligations

Upon request we will provice you with all the information we have about you. Direct any requests regarding personal data to support@wordino.com

Opt-out of direct marketing

You can always opt-out of directed advertising by changing the privacy settings on your Wordino App or in you website.

Push messages

We may send you push notifications throught your mobile applications. You may at any time opt-out from receiving these messages by changing settings on your Wordino App.

9. Advertising

Our app may display advertising. To respect your privacy choices, we serve only non-personalized ads in regions governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), such as the European Union. These ads do not use personal data like your device's Advertising ID or usage behavior.

We use Unity Ads to serve in-app adveritising. In compliance with GDPR, we configure Unity Ads to avoid collection or using personal data. For more about Unity's privacy practices.

10. How Long We Store Information

Wordino will store user and usage information for minimum of one year after the last activity by the User. After that we may remove data in periodic cleanups, where unused data will be removed. Unused data will be stored maximum of two years.

Upon removal learning data and provided audiofiles will be anonymized, all other personal information will be removed. Also information related to purchase events may be stored longer, as long as it is necessary to comply with legal obligations.

The Apps or webpage may contain links to third-party websites, e.g. youtube, google or apple. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites
